Federated Insurance

Prairie-style has been the trademark architecture in Owatonna, Minnesota since the early 1900’s, and Federated Insurance remains true to that heritage in the Al T. Annexstad Building. Reclaiming a classic building last used as a retail shopping mall – including movie theatres, fitness center with pool and a variety of shops – the building has been transformed into a state of the art corporate facility that includes a 500 seat auditorium, training rooms, executive board room and lounge, cafeteria, call center, Credit Union offices, and a new fitness center.

In collaboration with BWBR Architects, Target Commercial Interiors provided all traditional training and office furniture, auditorium seating, signage, accessories, flooring as well as the sourcing of custom stained glass and area rugs. In deference to fiscal responsibility, remanufactured office furniture was used to supplement the existing standard used throughout their Owatonna facilities.
