2011 Annual Holidazzle Event
As part of our annual Holidazzle Parade event for our clients, we created the idea of a competition among local design firms as a fun and charitable collaboration. We distributed small, toy-like snow shovels and saucer/sleds to 25 firms and challenged them to decorate, enhance, or art-up either or both. We asked them to be shiny, sparkly, glittery, flamboyant and joyful, but most of all that they make these Northland icons sing with the spirit of the season.
We offered a $500 Grand prize to the charity of their choice for the winner as judged by our esteemed design consultants – the team of Derek and Tessa Sussner. A prize of lunch for their design staff was provided by Steelcase for the People’s choice award, voted on by all in attendance that evening.
5 Submissions were received, each of a unique style and character. The design winner was the Ski Hill by the BKV Group; the People’s Choice award went to the Giving Tree of Perkins+Will. All entrants are on display in our Nicollet Mall windows through next week.
